ULTRA-PE500N.004 Semi-Automatic Ultrasonic Testing Systems Pass Pre-Shipment Tests and Are Shipped to the Customer
ULTRA-PE500N.004 semi-automatic ultrasonic testing systems for seamless pipes have successfully passed pre-shipment testing and have been shipped to the customer. The systems are designed for ultrasonic re-inspection of pipe sections for longitudinal and transverse defects, laminations and wall thickness deviations in the pipe body. They also allow rejection of pipes with wall thinning, pits and other surface defects oriented at up to ±36° to the pipe axis.
The configuration and parameters of the ultrasonic transducers, scanning parameters, sensitivity and inspection criteria were selected to meet all requirements of API Spec 5CT, API Spec 5L, GOST 31446-2017, GOST R 53366-2009, GOST 632-80, GOST 633-80, GOST R 52203-2004 and equivalent standards.

Data processing and display
- A-, B- and C-scan displays;
- TCG curve with negative and positive branches, multiple inflection points and an adjustable arbitrary correction law;
- color coding of defect gates;
- automatic gate positioning referenced to the pipe surface signal (for CKW) and the back-wall echo, set individually for each gate and each channel.
