ULTRAKRAFT JSC has carried out pre-shipment tests of an automated ultrasonic testing system for round billets for a forging and pressing complex.
The system is designed for automated non-destructive testing of round forgings made of steel and alloys.
The equipment provides automated ultrasonic testing (AUT) of billets in forging and pressing shop conditions, including the end sections (provided there are no burrs on the end faces), in order to detect unacceptable internal defects in the base metal.
Main characteristics of the test object:
- cylindrical forging made of steel and alloys;
- diameter – from 150 to 700 mm;
- length – from 2,000 to 12,500 mm.
Testing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the following standards:
- GOST 24507;
- GOST 21120;
- OST 108.109.01-92;
- GOST R 50.05.05-2018.
