Welding and ultrasonic testing of weld seams conference has been held at ULTRAKRAFT

Delegates from oil and gas industry (producing, transporting and trunk pipeline construction companies) gathered at the conference and acquainted with the equipment for flash butt welding of pipes. The operating process was demonstrated on welding of 219-mm diameter pipes. Presented butt welding system significantly reduces the time of pipeline laying and prevents operator’s errors. The quality of the weld seam was examined with a portable ultrasonic testing system of weld seams.

After the equipment showcase, conference participants gave talks on the subjects of improving and implementing of the flash butt welding and non-destructive testing of pipes and weld seams made in field conditions during pipeline laying.
